Is Your Plumber Too Pushy or Too Cheap?

Posted by admin on May 22, 2016 in Uncategorized

Often when we call a plumber it’s in an emergency situation, but there are red flags to look for once the plumber shows up.  First there is the plumber that employs pushy sales tactics.  This is the plumber that turns what seemed to you to be a leaking pipe that needed repair into a whole house repipe within a matter of minutes.  The cost will be outrageous and the timing will be urgent.  A reputable plumbing company will not need to capitalize on your emergency.  The flip side is the plumber that gives you a quote that is too good to be true.  An inexperienced plumber may not know how to adequately cover the true costs of the job or have the knowledge to do the repair correctly.  A quick way to look into your plumbing company before you call them in the first place is to go online to the CCB and search their business name.  How long have they been in business?  Do they have any claims against them?  Do they have to change their name often to dodge a poor reputation?  Often online reviews do not give an accurate picture.  The right plumber at the right price can make all the difference.
